After being shaped into a pleasingly rounded yunomi, it's coated with a soft off-white matte glaze, and the rim is finished with an amber glaze before firing, creating a cup with a simple, rustic texture. To address this, all our pottery undergoes a waterproofing treatment using a food-safe sealant before shipping, eliminating the need for initial soaking (me-jime). This treatment requires 2-3 days, hence our shipping timeframe of 5 days from order placement.
