Materials: Italian vegetable-tanned cowhide leather / Japanese indigo-dyed antique fabric About the Leather: Vegetable-tanned cowhide is a leather full of character. Tanning, the oldest method, uses natural tannins extracted from plants. This process involves repeatedly soaking the hide in tanning solutions of varying concentrations, taking one to two months to complete. Vegetable-tanned leather is free from harmful heavy metals and can be safely worn against the skin, preserving the leather's natural texture. Over time, with exposure to sunlight and moisture, the leather develops a rich patina and deepens in color, showcasing unique signs of wear – a process often referred to as 'patina cultivation'! Leather de Home watch straps are meticulously crafted using traditional double-needle hand-stitching. Both the front and back are made from Italian vegetable-tanned leather, offering superior durability compared to machine stitching. The edges are carefully sanded from coarse to fine grit and then polished to a smooth, natural finish. When ordering, please specify the desired length, thread color, connector/buckle color, and any personalized embossing (up to 10 English letters, position customizable).
