Brass Care Instructions: Brass has always been a highly favored material for jewelry due to its accessible price point and resistance to fading. However, like silver, brass is prone to oxidation. Exposure to rain, sweat, and air can darken its color. While some appreciate this natural patina, you can prevent it by following these guidelines: ♦ Avoid contact with water. ♦ Store in a resealable bag when not wearing. If the luster appears dulled, a few simple methods can quickly restore your item's original radiance. Please note that if the item is scratched, while color can be restored, the shine may not return (though the matte, antique bronze look is also beautiful!). ♦ Use a toothbrush with a small amount of foaming toothpaste or tooth powder. Gently brush the brass as if brushing your teeth to restore its shine.
