Despite the name "Snake Plant," it has no relation to orchids. It is a type of succulent, though its appearance is more akin to a foliage plant than a typical succulent. Taxonomically, snake plants belong to the tropical Asparagaceae family, genus Dracaena. Symbolizing health, longevity, prosperity, and wealth, it's a common foliage plant with leaves that stand tall like swords. Snake plants have numerous origins, with around 70 species found globally, distributed from Africa to Asia. Varieties include Golden Snake Plant,'(Kimberly Queen) Snake Plant, Silver Marble Snake Plant, Short-leaf Snake Plant, Dwarf Snake Plant, and Cylindrical Snake Plant, to name a few.
