Stationery / Music and Dance Scrolls { The Art of Dunhuang } "The Art of Dunhuang" is a series of cultural promotional items developed in collaboration with the Dunhuang Academy, at the invitation of the Shanghai First Financial Public Welfare Foundation. Discussions for this design project began in Shanghai in late 2015. Between 2016 and 2019, I traveled to Dunhuang with the Shanghai team four times, making continuous visits to the Mogao and Yulin Caves, finally completing the design and production in September 2020. Eighty percent of the items in this series have already been sent to Dunhuang. With only a limited number of complete sets remaining, I wish to share them with those who cherish Dunhuang's cultural heritage. (Some items were printed in larger quantities, hence their availability for retail.) { Imagery } Music and Dance Scene A reproduction from the "Visualization Sutra" mural's music and dance scene, found in Cave 25 of the Yulin Caves in Guazhou County, Gansu Province, China (Middle Tang Dynasty). Yulin is an integral part of the Dunhuang Grottoes, considered a sister site to the Mogao Caves.
