Embrace a life touched by art. Let's ART in your Life ! Infuse your everyday with the essence of Ukiyo-e, savoring the beauty of classic Japan. | Design Philosophy Reimagining the beauty of classic Ukiyo-e through a contemporary aesthetic lens, this piece utilizes delicately textured, warm art paper to transform a century-old Eastern art form into a lifestyle aesthetic. Whether gracing your space or presented as a refined gift, it allows the intricate brushstrokes and vibrant colors of Ukiyo-e to seamlessly blend into daily life, infusing your surroundings with elegance and poetry. It’s an experience where art is not just observed, but becomes a tangible, beautiful part of your world. | Inspired by "Sekisen Yudachi" (Mount Fuji), Ukiyo-e Master Hokusai, from the U.S. Library of Congress Collection. Katsushika Hokusai (Japanese: 葛飾 北斎 / かつしか ほくさい; October 31, 1760 – May 10, 1849) was born Tokitaro Nakajima in Edo (modern-day Tokyo) in 1760. He was a prominent Ukiyo-e artist during Japan's late Edo period and a key figure of the Japanese Bunsei culture. Hokusai began learning woodblock printing at the age of 14 and studied painting under Katsukawa Shunsho at 18, embarking on a long and prolific artistic career. In 1826, to support the burgeoning domestic tourism industry and fueled by his personal fascination with Mount Fuji, Hokusai created the series "Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji." This series brought him widespread fame, with "Fine Wind, Clear Morning" (Red Fuji) and "The Great Wave off Kanagawa" being the most renowned. His daughter, Katsushika Ōi, was also a notable artist. Hokusai, born in the Katsushika village in eastern Edo, was later adopted by a family of mirror polishers. In his youth, he worked as a delivery boy for a lending library. In his spare time, he pursued painting illustrations, studying under artists like Katsukawa Shunsho and Tawaraya Sōri. He began publishing his works at the age of 19 and passed away at the age of 90, leaving behind an estimated 35,000 works. | Specifications Dimensions: H25.7 × W36.4 × D0.1 cm Packaging Material: OPP Bag Product Material: Art Paper Quantity: 1 piece Origin: Taiwan
