When we wear crystals, we resonate with their energy, making __regular crystal purification very important__. It's recommended to cultivate a habit of regularly purifying your crystals, perhaps on the 1st of each month or during the full moon (the 15th day of the lunar calendar). There are many methods for purifying crystals, with detailed explanations available in books and online. While soaking in saltwater is a commonly mentioned method, some crystals and metals are delicate and can be damaged by salt or water, so Joyce personally does not recommend this method. If you have white/purple crystal chips, geodes, or clusters, you can place your crystals directly inside or on top of them when not in use. Of course, the chips, geodes, and clusters used for purification should also be purified regularly, for instance, by sun exposure or moonlight. Joyce finds __smudging to be the most effective method__! You can light sage, dried cedar leaves, dried mugwort leaves, or incense sticks, and **use the smoke for purification**.
