There's a little story behind why we decided to represent this brand.
In late 2024, just before a scheduled business trip to Korea, a sudden lockdown was announced, only to be lifted just before our flight departed. After arriving safely in Korea, we found ourselves unexpectedly trapped on a subway car as protest crowds surged, leaving us breathless and unable to move, almost suspended. We kept asking ourselves, "What do we do? Will this turn into a stampede?" We continuously encouraged each other to stay calm, to find ways to breathe, to keep our heads up, and most importantly, to stand firm and not fall. Thankfully, after a few stops, the dense crowd disembarked at Yeouido Station, and tears of relief streamed down our faces.
A few stops later, as we exited the subway, we unexpectedly stumbled upon Hyejin's exhibition. The cats' languid and serene poses instantly calmed the turbulent storm we had just experienced. We, feeling lost and shaken, felt as though we had firmly returned to solid ground.
From the bottom of our hearts, we truly believe, "It's wonderful to have cats in the world."
Hyejin's cat artworks are such treasures.
And so, this unexpected representation came to be. 🤍

Hyejin's style blends modernity with traditional Korean techniques, developed through slow, deliberate creation and hand-painting.
We are deeply drawn to the retro, nostalgic feel in her work, which is reminiscent of the folk scroll paintings from Korea's Joseon Dynasty.

Every stroke meticulously outlines incredibly delicate details, creating pieces that can be admired for a long time.
Creating art with traditional Korean craftsmanship requires immense patience. The artist applies color layer by layer, achieving rich textures and deep, saturated hues.
Even small details like butterflies and grasshoppers are rendered with exquisite soul.

Each painting captures the moments cats share space with us. The "unhurried pace" and "quiet companionship" exhibited by the cats convey the message the artist wishes to share.
Hyejin frequently holds solo exhibitions in Korea and has been creating art for over a decade.

Hyejin's primary subjects are her own cats, depicted with a mischievous yet sharp gaze – perfectly embodying a "fierce yet cute" personality. There's a captivating blend of conflict and harmony, a flawless fusion of tradition and modernity.
By incorporating contemporary styles and characters, her art portrays the lives and thoughts of animals within a traditional framework.
She employs techniques like *Gongbi* (meticulous brushwork) and utilizes Hanji (traditional Korean paper), which is less common in the market. This paper lends a gentle warmth to the overall palette, while the intricate *Gongbi* lines imbue the artworks with fine detail.

This warm feeling, this unique combination, allows the contemporary artistic style to integrate seamlessly.
