These keys were commonly used for early Japanese colonial era and Republic of China period cypress wood wardrobes, chests, drawers, money boxes, etc. In addition to brass, the old keys were also made of cast iron, or shaped by folding sheet metal. These are genuine Taiwanese vintage pieces. Each key bears the marks of human use—rust, oxidation, and patina.
