Published weekly, it covered everything from current events, news, folk life, trends, arts and culture, ecology, to technological inventions. It was a publication exclusively for the upper class, nobility, gentlemen, and intellectuals. The illustrations in these publications were produced using woodblock printing, meticulously hand-carved and then hand-printed, a process that was quite time-consuming.
