Afterward, reduce the frequency of polishing to once every three days, allowing it to rest for four days. Then, once a week, letting it rest for a week. Repeat this process until a patina forms on the bead's surface (hand polishing stimulates the beads to secrete oils, which oxidize upon contact with air when left undisturbed).
