Smooth, fine-grained white stoneware with a striking glaze. A lustrous white and blue-green glaze. These elements are combined to create this softly rounded bowl. After applying white glaze to the entire piece, blue-green glaze is poured over the rim and fired. The melted glaze flows and creates unique patterns. The distinctive patterns, formed by the serendipity of the firing process, and the refreshing light-green hue will bring life to your table. When cradled in your hands, the gentle curves of the bowl fit comfortably in your palms. Its wider base makes it easy to whisk matcha, and it’s perfectly sized for preparing it. All stages of creation, from kneading the clay to shaping, bisque firing, glazing, and final firing, are done by hand in my home studio, equipped with a small electric kiln and a potter's wheel. To protect your surfaces, the base of the bowl has been smoothed with sandpaper. I continually explore new combinations of glazes and clays, creating a variety of ceramics in different colors and shapes. Each piece is unique, appearing similar yet truly one-of-a-kind. As this sealant treatment requires 2-3 days to complete, we have set the shipping period to 5 days from your order.
