About the Production Process: Based on a sketch, the clay is shaped, allowed to dry slightly, and then refined through repeated adjustments. We produce enough to fill the kiln evenly over about a month. After a 7-hour bisque firing, the pieces are removed, wiped with water, and then each is individually glazed before a 12-hour high-temperature firing. Some pieces are finished with a gold glaze and placed back in the kiln for another 7 hours. As they require slow cooling, we wait about two days after each firing before removing them from the kiln. Finally, each piece is inspected, and pins are attached to the select items. Currently, our success rate is around 70%. Although this process requires significant time and effort, the result is a decorative brooch that combines the tactile feel of clay, the durability of pottery, the luster of glaze, and the sparkle of gold accents. We believe this is an item that can be cherished for a long time, unchanged.
