The delicate blue-grey glaze, enhanced by beautiful, fine crackling. These elements combine to create this charming leaf-shaped small plate. The tips of the plate are adorned with a white glaze, adding a subtle accent. This softly curved small plate can be seen as either a leaf or a water droplet shape. Its calm, muted colors make it a versatile addition for both culinary creations and desserts. Imagine it serving pickles, stir-fried burdock root, tamagoyaki, cherry tomatoes, dressed vegetables, or simmered hijiki seaweed. Perfect for small traditional Japanese sweets, petite cakes, baked goods, or chocolates. We would be delighted if this piece could add a touch of subtle color to your table. All stages of creation—from kneading the clay to shaping, bisque firing, glazing, and final firing—are meticulously done by hand in my home studio, equipped with a small electric kiln and a potter's wheel. While mass production is not possible, each piece possesses its own unique character, offering a distinctive charm that comes from being handmade. The item you receive will be the one shown in the product images. There are currently two pieces in stock. Each has slight variations in form and size, detailed in the final product image with the numbers '1' and '2'. As long as stock permits, you may select your preferred piece by notifying us when placing your order. The base of the plate will be smoothed with sandpaper to minimize any potential scratching of your tabletop. I explore various combinations of clay and glazes, constantly seeking new possibilities, and create a diverse range of pottery in various colors and forms. Each piece is unique, seemingly similar but truly one-of-a-kind, as exact replication is impossible. It would bring me great joy if you could find a piece that speaks to you. To address this, we apply a food-safe sealant to all our pieces before shipping, eliminating the need for initial seasoning (mezome). This sealing process requires 2-3 days, which is why our shipping window is set at 5 days from order placement. If you prefer not to have the sealant applied, please inform us at the time of purchase. - We strive to capture the true appearance of the product in our images through careful photography and editing. However, colors may appear differently depending on your monitor settings and lighting conditions. Please understand this in advance. - As this item is also sold on other platforms, in the event of overlapping purchases, priority will be given to the customer who completes the purchase process first.
