What is the wood-firing process?** American clay, Japanese clay, and Miaoli clay are mixed in different proportions. The creation process involves pure hand-pinching (not a potter's wheel) to slowly form the shape. After basic shaping, the body lines are refined, and then polished to complete the greenware. Once in the kiln, it undergoes a continuous five-day, four-night wood-firing process using natural longan and acacia wood. The temperature reaches over 1200 degrees Celsius. During this time, natural ash deposits adhere to the pieces, forming a special ash glaze. Simultaneously, the flame patterns within the kiln flow among the pieces, creating beautiful orange-red or blue-purple flame marks. After five days and four nights of ash and flame interplay, a week of cooling is required before a piece achieves its beautiful form! Each piece is absolutely unique! What should customers be aware of?** Product colors may vary slightly due to photographic lighting. As each piece is purely handmade, it will bear the traces of the maker's touch.
