Q: What is an automatic mechanical movement?
A: Mechanical watches are powered by winding. An automatic mechanical movement features a rotor on the back that spins with the movement of your wrist, winding the watch. If worn for 8 hours or more daily, the watch can maintain its operation for a full day. If not worn throughout the day, it will require winding and resetting.
Q: Are mechanical watches prone to scratches?
A: Our watch cases are crafted from 316L medical-grade steel, and the watch face is protected by sapphire crystal, which is second only to diamond in hardness. Therefore, it is relatively resistant to scratches.
Q: Are mechanical watches waterproof?
A: Yes, all our watches offer water resistance of 50M or more, with dive watches rated for 200M water resistance.
Q: How should mechanical watches be maintained?
A: If the watch is not worn for extended periods, please wind it every few days. Prolonged inactivity can cause the lubricating oil to settle, affecting timekeeping accuracy. For optimal maintenance, an automatic watch winder box is recommended.
