After removal, rinse with cold water to wash away surface bloodstains. 2. Apply hand wash liquid, baking soda, or a gentle detergent to the stained area and soak for over three hours. The water level should be slightly above the pads. 3. Once bloodstains are removed, simply wash with detergent and air dry (in a well-ventilated area indoors or in the bathroom; occasional sun exposure can help sterilize). Ensure they are completely dry before storing. 4.
