This is Tarragon (Artemisia dracunculus), a common culinary herb internationally, and the variety most often used for aromatic tarragon essential oil on the market. It is distilled from the whole plant. Due to its high concentration, the aroma has a fennel-like quality, which differs from the scent released when you crush tarragon leaves by hand.
