This piece allows you to fully appreciate the natural beauty of deer antler and turquoise. Sleeping Beauty turquoise is renowned as the most beautiful among turquoises. Its name originates from the Sleeping Beauty mine located in Globe, Arizona, USA. It is said that the mine was named after the fairy tale "Sleeping Beauty" because the mine resembled the princess when viewed from a distance. As this mine closed in 2012, no new turquoise is being produced. However, the turquoise from Sleeping Beauty contains very little iron, resulting in a truly beautiful, pure sky-blue hue. Turquoise has been revered by Native Americans as a stone representing the beautiful sky surrounding the Earth. It was also used in ceremonies for listening to the voices of spirits and for rain rituals.
