Tetrad Handmade Wooden Tissue Box L | Reclaimed Wood Series | Light Cypress

**Infusing Your Space with Warmth** Tissues play a significant role in our daily lives, and we believe they deserve a dignified cover. Moving away from the traditional, rigid box shape, we utilize bentwood technology to outline the elegant lines and proportions of this tissue box. The base is wide and stable, accommodating a full pack of tissues, while the top slightly tapers, creating a visually lighter form. The waist-shaped opening is designed to mimic the feeling of pulling a tissue from a gap in a tree. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/55223240004_c68f121b3e_b.jpg **Bentwood Craftsmanship** ▪︎ The "laminated bentwood craft" involves layering multiple sheets of solid wood veneer and placing them into a specialized mold. Through controlled pressure and temperature, the wood veneers are bent into shape. The body of the Tetrad tissue box is pressed from 6 layers of solid wood veneer to create a warm and elegant curve. ▪︎ The dark version uses veneer planed from recycled Lauan wood, while the light version uses veneer planed from recycled Cypress. Neither version is mixed with other types of wood or low-quality veneers. (For more details, please see the Reclaimed Wood Series description below.) ▪︎ Compared to cutting solid wood into shape, laminated wood veneer maximizes the use of our reclaimed old wood. This is a tribute to resources and a choice that is friendly to the land. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/55223155218_82cb02c05e_b.jpg **Magnetic Base Cover** Convenient to open and close, making refills effortless. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/55223239994_de6899f760_b.jpg **Fabric Packaging** Reusable to reduce the burden on the planet. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/55223343964_f6bcf65ded_b.jpg **Materials and Treatment** ▪︎ The Reclaimed Wood Series uses door frames salvaged from old houses in Taiwan, and the presence of minor marks on the surface is normal. ▪︎ The tissue box is coated with natural wood oil to provide extra protection for the wood. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/55223400255_6420e63747_b.jpg **Reclaimed Wood Series** "Meeting future needs with existing resources." With this core philosophy, META Design selects reclaimed wood as the material source for our bentwood products, providing a truly sustainable choice without the use of new wood materials. The Reclaimed Wood Series sources wood from door frames removed from old houses in Taiwan. After complex processes including nail removal, paint stripping, patching, and soaking, the wood is planed into 1mm thin veneers. Using the bentwood techniques in which META Design specializes, these are crafted into exquisite wooden lighting and home decor. Materials used in older homes were substantial; the door frames contain durable Lauan and precious Taiwan Cypress. This is not only a respect and appreciation for natural resources but also a preservation of Taiwan's memories. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/55222143597_4a17b06826_b.jpg Door frames preserved during the demolition of old houses become the material source for the Reclaimed Wood Series. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/55222202797_91c366f9dd_b.jpg Before being placed on the planing machine, the wood undergoes processes such as nail removal, paint stripping, patching, and soaking. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/55222143587_c860cda905_b.jpg The blades on the machine move back and forth to plane the door frames into 1mm thin wood veneer. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/55223045246_d5cb04799c_b.jpg https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/55223291874_3b1c9bf656_b.jpg https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/55223236464_c258337720_b.jpg Tetrad Handmade Wooden Tissue Box L | Reclaimed Wood Series | Light Cypress **Product Specifications** Dimensions: Length 22.5 x Width 13 x Height 10.5 cm Capacity: 100-150 tissues Material: Cypress veneer (body), MDF (base cover) Finish: German natural wood oil Origin: Taiwan **Use and Care Instructions** Please wipe with a dry or slightly damp cloth.
