These earrings are crafted by connecting Afghan metal with abundant garnets & amethysts, labradorite, herkimer diamond, and tribal bells. The paisley-shaped component originates from Afghanistan, featuring an embossed floral pattern on both sides. It has a slightly plump, rounded form and is an old, repurposed piece. The pretzel-shaped component is also an old item from Afghanistan. (Paisley component size: 2.6cm length, 1.1cm width - including the loop.) The bells are from the Kuch tribe of Afghanistan, also repurposed old pieces. Garnets and amethysts, featuring exquisite cuts, are clustered like ripe fruit. A single piece of labradorite has been added. The clear beads are exceptionally transparent, double-terminated herkimer diamonds. Herkimer diamonds are quartz crystals mined from the Herkimer region of New York State. They are nestled between small, 18k gold-plated Karen silver beads.
