They also conduct carving workshops and describe themselves as a "stamp carving professional." Residing in Taiwan, CHAMI works diligently from a cozy apartment in Taipei, creating and producing stamps. Previously, CHAMI worked as an editor for magazines and books in the publishing industry and now focuses exclusively on stamp design. Each season, new handmade, original creations are introduced. Their collected works, volumes 1-8, feature over 100 stamps. Published books include: "A Handmade Life in 12 Hours a Week," "Rubber Stamps, Open the Door!", and "12 Lessons for Beginner Rubber Stampers: Next Stamp Class." Primarily using erasers as the carving material, each stamp is the result of slow, deliberate strokes on the eraser. CHAMI's stamp designs often integrate observations from daily life, landscapes and encounters during travels, and beloved interests (incorporating elements like text, flora, geometry, nature, and architecture). These elements are then deconstructed and reassembled, employing layered lines and planes, complemented by minimalist main and secondary lines, foreign text, and personal annotation symbols to construct the stamp imagery. CHAMI enjoys combining stamps and colors, orchestrating unique collaborations and repetitions between stamps of various sizes. Many graphic designs originate from fragments of stamps, extended through stamping and layering techniques (seen in postcards and washi tape).
