The pen cap and body are crafted from meticulously selected South American green sandalwood. It possesses a distinct fragrance and a yellowish-brown hue that gradually deepens to a richer green with exposure to air and sunlight. It is complemented by gunmetal grey electroplated accessories and features an exclusively molded clip and an airtight cap design. This pen model is available with two distinct nib configurations: a calligraphy titanium tip, or a "Small Tang Knife" nib (resembling a long blade), both meticulously ground and adjusted by Old Goat artisans from a German Bock #180 (#5) small standard titanium nib. The calligraphy titanium tip is derived from a German Bock #180 (#5) small standard titanium nib, which has been handcrafted by Old Goat artisans into a curved nib with an arc. This allows for variations in line width, creating expressive strokes. Compared to steel nibs, the calligraphy titanium tip offers greater elasticity and a more responsive writing feel, providing a unique writing experience. The "Small Tang Knife" nib is also meticulously handcrafted by Old Goat artisans from a small German Bock #180 (#5) standard titanium nib, ground and adjusted into a blade-like tip (resembling a long blade). For the calligraphy nib, it is recommended to first dip the nib in ink for initial writing (do not remove the converter installed inside the barrel to prevent ink backflow after writing). This allows the nib to adapt to your writing style. After a period of use, you may then use the converter for filling ink. 2. The calligraphy nib is created by grinding and adjusting an EF nib into a curved tip that produces varying line widths. This variation is not solely achieved by applying pressure, but by adjusting the angle of the pen. When held at a more upright angle, the contact area between the nib and the paper is smaller, resulting in finer lines. As the pen angle becomes more oblique or with slight pressure, the contact area increases, producing broader lines. The ability to write thick or thin lines depends on your proficiency (each nib has a certain degree of pressure tolerance; avoid excessive force to prevent damage or misalignment.
