With no prior experience, we gradually learned the art of leather crafting. We fell in love with genuine leather products, how they change color over time, becoming warm, lustrous, and unique. Introduction to Cowhide Used | ◆ Vegetable Tanning Refers to leather treated with natural agents, characterized by a warm hue and visible pores. Compared to chemically treated leather, it has a milder scent. Its distinct feature is that it becomes increasingly lustrous with use, evolving far from its original appearance. This transformation process is sometimes called "leather nurturing." Such leather goods, which change in color and texture with use, are cherished by a segment of consumers. Vegetable-tanned leather also comes in different grades; the richer the oil content and the fewer the scars, the higher the grade and price. High-quality vegetable-tanned leather primarily originates from Europe, where RamahLeatherware sources most of its hides, with a smaller portion from South America. These are more apparent in leather treated with natural agents. Please view these scars rationally; RamahLeatherware has already avoided over 90% of them. ◆ Care Instructions - No additional maintenance is required for regular use. If stored for extended periods in Taiwan's humid climate, it may easily develop mold. Please store in a dry, ventilated environment or a dehumidifier box. ◆ If wet, avoid direct sunlight or using a hairdryer. Rapid drying can make the leather brittle. Allow it to air dry naturally. If accidentally soaked, water marks will be noticeable. Other Notes | • Leather thickness does not indicate quality; all leather is processed through splitting. • Handmade items are not perfect; please consider carefully before purchasing if you are a perfectionist. • Vegetable-tanned leather is soft and prone to scratches.
