There's a small story behind how we came to represent this brand.
In late 2024, just as we were preparing to fly to Korea for a meeting, a lockdown was suddenly announced. It was lifted just before our flight, and upon safely arriving in Korea, we found ourselves trapped in a subway car. Protesters were flooding the platforms, and we were squeezed, unable to breathe or move, almost levitating. Internally, we worried, "What will happen? Could this turn into a stampede?" We continuously encouraged each other to stay calm, find ways to breathe, keep our heads up, and most importantly, stand firm to avoid falling. Thankfully, after a few stops, the overwhelming crowd disembarked at Yeouido Station, leaving us shaken and in tears.
A few stops later, as we exited the subway, we unexpectedly stumbled upon Hyejin's exhibition. The cats' lazy and contented postures instantly calmed the stormy seas we had just navigated. We, still dazed and frightened, felt as though we were firmly back on solid ground.
Truly, from the bottom of our hearts, we felt, "It's wonderful that cats exist in this world."
Hyejin's cat creations are such treasures.
And so, this unexpected collaboration came to be. 🤍

Hyejin's style blends modern sensibilities with traditional Korean techniques, creating artworks through slow, deliberate hand-painting.
We are all deeply fond of the nostalgic, retro feel in his work, reminiscent of the folk painting scrolls from Korea's Joseon Dynasty.

Every stroke meticulously outlines exquisite details, creating pieces that can be admired for a long time.
Creating art with traditional Korean crafts requires immense patience. The artist applies color layer by layer, achieving rich textures and deep, saturated hues.
Even tiny butterflies and grasshoppers are rendered with such delicate soul.

Each painting captures the moments when cats share our space. The cats' "unhurried pace" and "quiet companionship" embody the message the artist hopes to convey.
Hyejin frequently holds solo exhibitions in Korea and has been creating art for over a decade.

Hyejin primarily uses his own cats as subjects, depicting them as both mischievous and sharp-eyed, embodying a "fierce yet cute" personality. There's a sense of conflict and harmony, a perfect fusion of tradition and modernity.
By incorporating contemporary artistic styles and characters, he portrays the lives and thoughts of animals within traditional art.
He utilizes Hanji (Korean paper), less commonly seen in the market, and the meticulous Gongbi technique. This paper lends a gentle overall tone to the artwork, while the refined Gongbi lines add exquisite detail.
