Heavy Ash Glaze 6 Liang Tea Caddy / Tea Jar / Tea Storage Container / Handmade by Xiao Ping Fan - อื่นๆ - ดินเผา สีกากี

รายละเอียดสินค้า

Some teas reveal a mellower, sweeter flavor after being aged in a good container for a period. Much like life, sometimes it simply needs time to gently settle and mature. This 6-liang (approx. 225g) small tea caddy is crafted from pure, unglazed wood-fired clay. After enduring days of high-temperature wood firing, natural ash glaze has formed, bestowing it with a jade-like luster and a serene beauty. This rare firing effect not only serves to store tea leaves but also aids in their natural transformation, allowing them to become more fragrant over time. Capacity: 6 liang (approx. 225g) May this unique aesthetic grace your tea ceremonies with every sip, allowing you to experience the distinct lifestyle beauty of Xiao Ping Fan (小平凡) in your daily life. In 2023, two artists from Xiao Ping Fan Pottery Studio, Chen Shi-ping and Wang Yu-fan, had their works selected for Excellence awards at the 5th Shanghai International Wood Firing Ceramics Competition. Your support fuels our continued creativity. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/53341561855_249c0591a6_c.jpg https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/53341437984_c608c50771_c.jpg 2023 Media Coverage: The Lean Startup Journey of Xiao Ping Fan Art https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/53341329978_bb6984d457_c.jpg https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/53341561785_f553253a82_c.jpg https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/53341329968_8834731df8_c.jpg The creations from Xiao Ping Fan Pottery Studio do not pursue mass production. Each piece is born from a unique concept and design, infused with life through the process of pure hand-building or wheel throwing. Every item is one-of-a-kind. Our works are a collaboration between my husband and me, which is why you'll find the signatures "Ping" (平) or "Fan" (帆). Some pieces also bear the "Xiao Ping Fan Pottery Studio" (小平凡陶房) seal – truly unique! https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/51567264550_68d52fdae8_b.jpg **1. What is the origin of your creations?** We primarily use clay from the USA, Japan, and Miaoli, Taiwan, for our artistic endeavors. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/51567015014_0b15931da0_c.jpg https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/51565549942_7663197885_h.jpg https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/51567015039_4c2a9b80e3_c.jpg **2. What is the wood firing process?** American, Japanese, and Miaoli clays are blended in varying proportions. The creation process involves pure hand-building (not a pottery wheel) to slowly form the piece. After basic shaping, the lines of the body are refined, followed by polishing to complete the greenware. Once placed in the kiln, it undergoes a continuous 5-day, 4-night wood firing process using natural lychee and acacia wood. Temperatures reach over 1200 degrees Celsius. During this time, natural ash falls onto the works, forming a special ash glaze. Simultaneously, the kiln's flames swirl among the pieces, creating beautiful streaks of orange-red or blue-purple. After five days and four nights of interacting ash and flame, a week of cooling is required before a piece achieves its beautiful form! Because the kiln atmosphere differs with each firing, the ash deposit and flame marks on every piece are unique, making each creation truly one of a kind! https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/51567015104_1eec785177_b.jpg https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/51567264535_7bd0037e60_c.jpg https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/51565533012_fdce6d65a3_h.jpg https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/51566346721_2b98f539f8_c.jpg **3. What should our esteemed guests be aware of?** Product colors may vary slightly due to photographic lighting. As each piece is purely handmade, it will bear the natural traces of the crafting process. Minor variations may also occur due to the firing process; slight irregularities in the rim or minor surface marks are normal and do not affect usability. We appreciate your understanding! https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/51565533097_13ea71a377_c.jpg https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/51565533012_219eca4133_c.jpg **4.
