Title: "Babylon Oasis" / First attempt at a succulent arrangement.
Origin of Inspiration: The Epic of Gilgamesh
A hero journeys through sand and wilderness, encountering a "meadow of flowers" before the gates of the gods.
It is not a garden of abundance, but a faint glimmer at the end of the desert—so small it can only be seen with the heart,
yet enough to change the traveler's destiny.
Interpretation:
Reimagining the tiered landscape of arid regions within the palm of your hand: High-growing succulents resemble ancient city ruins, the middle section of gravel forms wind-eroded slopes, and the front features living stones arranged like ancient mosaic fragments, each a different color, like tiny emblems left by time.
The choice of stones continues the desert vocabulary, using decorative stones with a stable texture and naturally cracked patterns as the base. The stone patterns resemble geological etchings, making this miniature oasis not just a garden, but a condensation of a journey.
In dryness and silence, life quietly finds its place.

Turtle shell stone is named for the cracks on its surface that resemble the patterns on a turtle's shell. These naturally formed net-like textures are typically the result of physical and chemical processes the rock undergoes during geological changes.
Because of its gentle texture and non-aggressive appearance, turtle shell stone is often seen as a "miniature representation of arid landscapes" in landscaping. Its patterns look like sun-baked earth, making it particularly fitting for desert-themed arrangements.

| Additional Care and Cultivation Notes |
1. Light Requirements: Bright light preferred, avoid stuffy direct sun
• Succulents enjoy bright, indirect light to partial shade.
• If placed indoors, provide a grow light for 8–10 hours/day.
• Avoid high-temperature direct sunlight in summer (especially near windows or west-facing), to prevent "sunburn" or "root rot."

2. Watering Frequency: Sparingly, with intervals, water only when dry
• Basic principle: Water only when completely dry.
• When watering, pour until the bottom layer slightly seeps out; avoid small amounts of water daily.
• During winter dormancy, water needs are lower; extend to once every 2–4 weeks.
• Avoid waterlogging or storing water in the saucer, as this is the most common cause of root rot.
________________________________________
3. Ventilation: More important than humidity
• Succulents tolerate dryness but not stuffiness; high temperatures + lack of airflow are the most problematic.
• Place in a well-ventilated area or use a small circulation fan on a low setting.
• Strictly avoid placing in closed cabinets, on top of wardrobes, or in humid bathrooms.

3. Growth Changes: Etiolation, dormancy, and color changes are normal reactions
• Etiolation: Insufficient light → supplement light or adjust position.
• Fading color: Insufficient light → increase light exposure.
• Turning red or purple: Strong sunlight and temperature differences are beneficial.
• Inactivity or shrinking: Dormancy period, reduce watering.

4. Most Important Principle: When in doubt, err on the side of not watering
• The biggest enemy of succulents is always overwatering.
• As long as the roots are healthy and the environment is well-ventilated, they can endure drought longer than you imagine.
