This type of leather is known for its firm and durable texture. The surface color gradually darkens. Combined with the natural oils from your hands and the friction from daily use, it develops a lustrous patina. This allows leather goods made from vegetable-tanned leather to transform uniquely with time and user habits. Ranchers do not typically focus on protecting the cattle's skin, so animals may bear marks from insect bites, scratches, or thorns. Free-ranging cattle might have branding scars, and as they grow, their skin develops natural lines and wrinkles. In cases of difficult births, a mother cow might have surgical scars. During the process of slaughtering for meat, skinning can also result in knife marks. These marks are faithfully preserved on the leather when it's processed, serving as a record of the animal's life. The resulting text will appear as a dark, scorched mark. Therefore, this service cannot be applied to dark-colored leathers such as black, dark blue, etc. ▴ Some products require laser engraving before production. For in-stock items, laser engraving cannot be applied after they are made, requiring a separate production schedule. Please contact customer service to inquire about production times when selecting this service. 🌞 Care and Maintenance -------------------- Frequent use is the best form of maintenance. Avoid storing leather in humid environments. If the leather gets wet, wipe it immediately with a dry cloth and let it air dry in a cool, shaded place. Do not expose it to direct sunlight, as this can cause the leather to harden and deteriorate. Once dry, apply leather conditioner to replenish its oils. You can also spray a waterproofing agent to protect against accidental spills and enhance surface protection. For storage or long periods of non-use, place the leather in a dehumidifying cabinet set to 50%-60% humidity to prevent mold, or use a sealed bag with a desiccant for a similar effect. Repair services will incur a partial labor and material fee. 5. Our studio prefers natural leather materials. Cowhide is not excessively ground or coated with heavy surface finishes, so it may have slight color variations, natural grain patterns, and minor scratches. If you require a perfectly flawless surface, this product may not be suitable, and we cannot accommodate requests for a "flawless leather surface." Additionally, once personalized with engraving or laser carving, returns are not accepted unless there was a production error.
