Based on an illustration created by Donald Seitz in 1991, the art umbrella outlines art history with smiley faces, appropriately altered in the style of important artists in modern history: Leonardo da Vinci, Rembrandt, Claude Monet, Vincent Van Gogh, Mark Rothko, Salvador Dali, Andy Warhol, Pablo Picasso and Jackson Pollock.
His The History of Art Umbrella playfully references portraits of many influential artists in MoMA's collection.
This black and white umbrella is made of polyester with a black rubber-coated handle. The black umbrella fabric provides some sun protection and the umbrella has an open diameter of approximately 96 cm.
