Wood firing is a traditional way of firing ceramics, involving using wood as the primary source of fuel. It takes days to fire at high temperature and is known for its unique and unpredictable effects on ceramic pieces, resulting in distinctive colors, textures, and glaze patterns. As the wood burns, it releases heat, flames, and ash. The flames and ash are drawn into the kiln's chamber and land on the pots to create unique coats for each work. No two pieces in a wood firing will be exactly the same. Apart from its unique appearance, wood fired pots are believed to lift the taste of water and coffee. ◙ How to care Ceramics are fragile items, please handle with care.
