Design Concept | Inspiration "The Pull" The concept behind this piece is rather dark, which is why I deliberately chose to maintain the oxidized finish and refrain from mirror polishing the surface. In life, there exists a "pull"— the pull between reality and ideals, the past and the present, reason and desire, order and chaos! You want it all, and you hold on tight! Before shattering, you cling to both sides like a wolf, refusing to let go! It's as if no one can make you loosen your grip before you break, and perhaps what you anticipate is not the day of compromise, but the very moment you are split, pulled, fractured, and shattered. For that moment, you are willing to give everything, unconcerned with how others perceive you, no one knows your purpose, because you never speak of it. You just bite down, tightly, tightly. Perhaps one day, a bright exit through compromise will appear. But ultimately, only you know in your heart what you truly desire. The central ring is hand-engraved with "Alarein 2017," the wolf heads on either side are tangible representations of various pulls, the sturdy chain extending behind them, symmetrical and precise, symbolizes the trials, the efforts, the tempering of all your perseverance. And at the very end, to conclude the piece, is another of Editor Li's works, themed "Optimism." Placing it here, besides feeling it complements the design, serves as a reminder to myself not to be overly negative (laughs). But can it be done? Can you know the end of this pull? None of us have the gift of foresight, but this reality of being pulled. Let's accept it for now!
