The precise thickness of each layer and a firing temperature of 1260°C, enduring 20 hours of intense heat, allow the glaze to shrink and flow in the kiln, producing the intricate patterns and fluidity reminiscent of peacock feathers. The challenge in its creation lies in meticulously controlling the thickness of each glaze layer and adjusting the temperature curve. If the glaze is too thin or the temperature too low, the peacock feather pattern will not emerge. Conversely, if it's too thick or the temperature too high, the glaze may run onto the accompanying plate, damaging both the teacup and the plate. Ambient temperature also influences the final outcome. Numerous factors are at play, and even after years of dedicated study, achieving perfect control over its variations remains elusive. However, it is precisely this unpredictability that imbues the finished piece with its precious value. It is hoped that this artwork will inspire everyone to maintain hope when facing challenges, to persevere with unwavering effort, and to one day unfurl their own beautiful feathers like a peacock, illuminating their lives with brilliance!
