If you are particular about the current condition of the plant, please message the designer to request photos. 🔥🔥🔥 The Red Lion is a hybrid of Gymnocalycium mihanovichii (Peony Ball) and Gymnocalycium anisitsii (White Lion). It inherits the deep green spherical body and fine fuzz from the Peony Ball, with regularly arranged areoles reminiscent of the White Lion. However, its red spines give it its name, and it is exceptionally cute! This offering is for a specimen with three heads; single-head options are also available. Please message us for inquiries. | Watering | Water approximately every 7-10 days in summer and every 10-14 days in winter. The general principle is to water only when dry, and to water thoroughly when you do. Cacti are generally very drought and sun tolerant. Overwatering can easily lead to root rot, so a loose, well-draining potting mix is recommended. | Sunlight | Prefers a location with abundant sunlight. However, during the intense heat of summer, moderate shading is advisable. It can be placed in full sun or partial shade. Even if placed indoors with insufficient light, its strong vitality allows it to survive, though it may not grow aesthetically and could become leggy.
