Please refer to the actual product. --- Naturally Indigo-Dyed Solid Blue Fabric / Naturally Indigo-Dyed Printed Fabric, Patchwork Smock Its original design is inspired by the WW2 British mountain army smock. During WWII, this was a combat smock for British mountain troops. I've always admired military uniforms, especially European designs, with British military wear being a particular classic. Even today, many high-fashion brands draw inspiration from old European military uniforms, recognizing their comfort, practicality, and enduring style. Without straying too far, let's talk about this smock made by Shizhou. We haven't created a direct replica; instead, we've incorporated our own ideas and characteristics. Firstly, we replaced the fabric with naturally dyed materials and employed color-blocking techniques. Additionally, we used naturally indigo-dyed printed fabrics on the left shoulder and right elbow, breaking the symmetry and making the overall piece more dynamic. Finally, we reduced the original four pockets to two. The original design was a true military garment, intended for riflemen. The upper pockets were for carrying and quickly accessing ammunition. This feature isn't very practical for everyday use. I wanted to retain only the two functional lower pockets. The upper left pocket has been transformed into a cardholder, and the upper right pocket features a floral decoration made from naturally indigo-dyed printed fabric. The printed fabric detail on the right chest is inspired by my favorite M65 parka. Lastly, I'd like to explain the hood. The original design had a small hood, quite petite, and a bit awkward to wear. Making it larger would compromise the aesthetic. Therefore, we've preserved its original form.
