Vintage Gold Cable Weave Limoges France French Hand-Painted Floral Ceramic Round Brooch B1937

A Limoges porcelain brooch purchased in France. The raised feel on the front indicates hand-painting, while other parts are printed. The material is metal + ceramic, it's quite substantial and in good condition! The back features a complete hallmark. Diameter: 4.8 cm. The clasp on the back is called a Trombone Clasp, also known as a Push-pull safety clasp. This design is frequently seen in French and European jewelry. It was widely used in the 1940s, and even vintage Chanel pieces feature this type of clasp! Take a look at the brooches you own – do any have this mechanism?
