She wrote and directed nine feature films, receiving numerous awards both domestically and internationally. Her representative works include "A Woman's Story," "Shanghai Chronicle," "Pretending Not to Feel," "Beautiful Shanghai" (which won Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actress, and Best Supporting Actor at the 2004 Golden Rooster Awards), "Shanghai Rumba," "My Strong Little Boat," and "Please Remember Me."
