<Beauty Unique to You, Bringing You Happiness>
The materials for this creation are selected from thousands of kimono fabrics, chosen for their auspicious patterns, which have been tucked away in drawers. Each piece is carefully handcrafted with a wish for the owner's happiness.
<A Gift of Japanese Tradition>
We utilize kimono fabrics that have been stored away, honoring the local saying from Watari Town, Miyagi Prefecture, by elderly women: "Never discard cloth that can wrap three adzuki beans." We give form to the beauty and charm held within small scraps of fabric. These are also cherished as gifts to accompany small tokens of appreciation or greetings.
<An Item to Adorn Your Presence>
This hair accessory seamlessly complements kimonos and yukatas, as well as any other attire. It allows the wearer to express their individuality. Beyond being a retro-modern hair accessory, it can also be used as an arm band or a book band. It's a convenient item to have in your bag.
<Symbols of Fortune: Auspicious Patterns>
These are auspicious patterns used as "symbols of happiness." Understanding the meaning of Japanese patterns connects you to the profound depths of Japanese culture passed down through generations.
<The Joy of Gazing, The Pleasure of Collecting>
The kimono fabrics adorned with auspicious patterns are items that bring a sense of happiness simply by gazing at them. By collecting your favorite pieces, you can enjoy creating your own personal gallery.

<Let's Contribute to Clothing Upcycling Together>
At WATALIS, we have collected and remade over 12 tons of old kimono fabrics.
By choosing one of our pieces, kimono fabrics that were once dormant in drawers across the country find a new purpose. We are grateful for our customers who help us expand the cycle of upcycling.
We introduce our local resource upcycling initiatives in this video.

<Notes for Purchase>
*As all items are handmade, please understand that each piece is unique, with slight variations in size, shape, and pattern.
*In rare cases, when we obtain high-quality kimono fabric, we may create multiple items from the same fabric. Please note that the pattern placement may differ slightly from the photo due to the cutting position of the fabric.
*Please be aware that the color and texture may appear different on screen compared to the actual product. If you have any concerns, please contact us or refrain from purchasing.
*As the kimono fabrics used are often secondhand and lack material labels, we are frequently unable to identify the exact materials. We thoroughly inspect and process the fabrics, including washing, before remaking them. Please exercise caution as some fabrics may fade or shrink when wet.
*As we also sell on other platforms, please forgive us in case of a sell-out.
