▶︎What is vegetable tanned cowhide?
The process of processing rotten "skin" into "leather" that can be preserved forever is called "tanning".
Tanning with vegetable tanning agents extracted from plants is called "vegetable tanned leather", which is natural and more environmentally friendly.
▶︎ Vegetable tanned leather features:
1. The texture is firm, hard at the beginning, and will be softer after a long time, but it is still not easy to deform
2. It will turn into a charming caramel color with time use, also known as "color nourishment", which will obviously leave traces of changes (temperature changes/grease changes/water stains)
3. We will varnish the surface of vegetable tanned leather, which has a "basic level" of water repellency, but still need to do basic maintenance, remember to take it to the sun more
