Material Description: The 14k gold-filled material, heavily used in the mixandfun design studio, features a layer of 1/20 14k gold electroplated onto a brass base. This is a popular material in recent years, known for being relatively easy to care for, maintaining its color for a longer period, and being more affordable than solid 14k gold. Solid 14k gold, on the other hand, is entirely 14k gold throughout, inside and out. It contains approximately 58.5% gold, with the remainder being silver, iron, or copper. Given Taiwan's climate, it's even easier to maintain, and its color is more refined. Solid 14k gold is also a good option for those with sensitive skin. Specially plated alloy is another material we frequently use. mixandfun carefully selects unplated chains that we love and then applies a special electroplating process. This ensures the color remains vibrant under normal wear conditions for a considerable time. Wearing Precautions: 1. Always put on your accessories after dressing and remove them before changing into loungewear. It is not recommended to wear them while bathing. Avoid wearing them in hot springs and while swimming at all costs. 2. For earrings, we recommend using the included silicone stoppers to reduce the chance of loss. 3. Taiwan's climate is hot and humid. If you plan to store your accessories for an extended period, gently wipe them with a soft cloth before placing them in a sealed bag. 4. For finer chains, make it a habit to fasten the clasp when removing them. This helps minimize tangling. 5. For 14k gold-filled, solid 14k gold, or specially plated alloy items, signs of wear are natural over time. We appreciate your understanding. 6. A little maintenance tip: If you notice your jewelry has oxidized, don't panic. You can fill a bowl with a little water, add some salt, and a small piece of aluminum foil. Submerge your solid 14k gold or sterling silver jewelry for about 10 minutes, then remove and polish. It should regain its shine. (Material composition may vary slightly between brands).
