Intertwined Worlds - Short Shirt Completed in May A new garment planned each year This is one of two. In early February, I made a small sample. Imagining how clothes could overlap at certain points of intersection. (Collar, cuffs, right side seam) Like the rhythm of life, differences within repetition. Subtle variations, but not needing to be obvious. I drew a freehand sketch for it, something I've wanted to capture for a long time, this everyday scene. With houses, roofs, doors, potted plants. Like everyday objects, filling the frame with a sense of feeling. After finishing the drawing, I understood better how it would finally be sewn. Striving for shades of grey-blue and white, with few distinct lines. Like the color gradations in a painting, integrated into the fabric. Rarely do I think of a name during the pattern drafting stage. Intertwined Worlds With the complete process, it slowly grew into the image I had imagined. I'm so happy that those small inspirations in life have finally become a part of this fabric garment.
