At that time, I had an idea that "the logo of my workshop is quite interesting in terms of design." The studio's logo is based on a traditional cloisonné pattern, but the interesting idea was to base the design further on that logo. If we were to reproduce the workshop's logo as it is, the glass would end up lacking transparency and giving off a dark impression, so we used the workshop's logo as the basis and made some significant tweaks to the design. In addition, I created this piece with the intention of upgrading it by incorporating the best features of two other pieces from the Simple Works series, the "Wind Circle Tumbler" and the "Bamboo Forest Tumbler." We hope that this tumbler will be recognized as a superior design to those two. The Bamboo Forest Tumbler simply used vertical lines to create the gradation, but this is an upgraded version, and is more elaborate, with diagonal lines creating the gradation. We also incorporated elements that were well received by customers when we had our booth on sale, and we believe this has brought us closer to a design that is more customer-oriented. The overall design of the frame is excellent, and if the details were to include chrysanthemum connections and chrysanthemum basket weave, it would have a beautiful structure that would put it in the category of premium works. However, in order to make it accessible to as many people as possible, we avoided designs using chrysanthemum connections and chrysanthemum basket weave, which require a large number of cuts, in order to keep the finished product relatively inexpensive. For example, if you feel like, "It's like a comet flying up into the sky, trailing a ribbon behind it!" then I would like each individual to take it in that way. I firmly believe that an element of good design is that it looks different to each individual who sees it, so I hope you will enjoy it in that way.
