Cold brew coffee has become a recent darling in the specialty coffee scene! This method involves steeping coffee grounds in room temperature or ice-cold water for an extended period, allowing natural sweetness to release, offering a refreshing experience for many coffee lovers.
Cold brew coffee boasts a rich, smooth body with mild bitterness and a distinct sweetness. The slight fermentation adds layers of complexity, much like a fine brewed wine, allowing for the appreciation of subtle notes such as chocolate undertones, fruity fragrances, and floral aromas, which are key reasons for its popularity. We've selected coffee beans that yield delicious results when cold-brewed and prepared them into convenient cold brew filter bags for everyone to enjoy!

**How to Use the Filter Bags**
**1. Just Three Steps! Easy Cold Brew Coffee:**
1. Place a coffee filter bag into a clean container.
2. Pour in room temperature water at the appropriate ratio. For one 15g bag, we recommend approximately 250ml of water.
3. Refrigerate for about 24 hours to obtain delicious cold brew coffee.
For direct consumption, a coffee-to-water ratio of 1:13-1:16 is recommended (1g coffee grounds to 13g-15g water). If adding milk, use a ratio of about 1:7.
The strength can be adjusted to your preference. The longer the steeping time, the more flavor will be released, resulting in a richer taste.
Cold brew coffee also pairs wonderfully with milk or plant-based milks like oat milk. If adding milk or ice, it's advisable to use slightly less water during the steeping process.
**2. Hot Steeping is Also Convenient with Filter Bags!**
Use hot water between 90-95°C (avoid using boiling water directly). Steep for about 7-8 minutes, adjusting the time based on your desired concentration.
For one 15g bag, we recommend 250ml-300ml of water. After steeping, gently shake the filter bag to ensure even extraction of the grounds within the bag, then remove the coffee bag and enjoy.
**Consumption and Storage**
The prepared cold brew coffee can be stored in the refrigerator for several days to a week. By taking a little time to prepare it in advance, you can have several days' worth of coffee ready, which is very economical and time-saving!

**FAQs**
Still have a few questions?
Over years of practice, we've gathered some common cold brew coffee queries, which we're happy to share with you.
**What kind of beans are suitable for cold brew coffee?**
If you enjoy strong fruit flavors, beans from African regions like Ethiopia and Kenya are excellent choices.
If you prefer flavor profiles with berries, chocolate, nuts, and caramel notes, high-altitude beans from Guatemala, Panama, and Costa Rica are highly recommended.
If you love a rich body with herbal, woody, or tea-like notes, beans from Asian regions such as Indonesia, Taiwan, and Yunnan are very suitable.
There's no single right answer, as it depends on personal flavor preferences. However, higher quality coffee beans often yield more diverse flavors and surprises when cold-brewed.
**Does cold brew coffee absolutely need to be chilled for 24 hours?**
A 24-hour refrigeration period is a recommendation based on our grind size; you can use it as a reference but don't feel pressured.
Between 16-24 hours, you can experiment to see if the strength meets your preference. You can also explore how different combinations of "temperature + time" yield your favorite taste by varying the initial steeping water temperature.
**Can I use plastic bottles for steeping instead of glass bottles?**
Yes, as long as your plastic container is food-grade and doesn't have any strange odors. However, plastic material is more prone to staining from coffee colors compared to glass.
**I don't have enough space in my refrigerator, can I skip refrigeration?**
Yes, during winter, you might even be able to steep it without refrigeration. However, once steeping is complete, it's recommended to consume it as soon as possible. If you can't finish it, refrigerate it.
Generally, higher temperatures lead to faster flavor release. If you steep the coffee grounds at room temperature throughout the process, we suggest steeping for 10-12 hours initially and then testing the flavor strength.
**Why are there coffee grounds at the bottom of my prepared cold brew coffee?**
This is because during grinding, there will always be extremely fine coffee particles. These fine particles can pass through the filter bag and settle at the bottom. If you dislike the texture of fine grounds, it's recommended to discard the very bottom layer of the coffee liquid.
**What kind of water should I use to make cold brew coffee?**
Please use filtered drinking water. Mineral water is also acceptable. Avoid using boiled tap water. After all, 98% of a cup of coffee is water, so ensure the water quality is fresh and pure!
