[Zhongli Street] Old Shop Stamp Booklet

The cover of this stamp booklet features the First Market, affectionately known as the "Big Clock" by locals. It is a shared memory for the people of Zhongli, and a living museum of old Zhongli. Demolition began in early 2018. However, the shops that moved out from the "Big Clock" and the old shops in the historic district, are like vessels carrying Zhongli's stories, continuing to unfold and be told. From moving into the old streets to discovering the old town area, our simple hope is that this old shop culture can be preserved, understood, and seen. Because we know, those shops with the charm of time, those buildings, window grilles, glass cabinets, exude a unique allure through time and space. These old stories are gently shared through the designer's illustrations. The included stamp rally guide, will guide you to explore Zhongli's old shops, and embark on this little adventure in Zhongli. As you travel, record the emotions and feelings each old shop evokes, every encounter with the shop owners, and the people, events, and things you discover through collecting stamps, can all be taken with you.
