Kabuku folding fan

This folding fan was born from a collaboration between Japan's proud traditional industries, "Kaga Yuzen," "Kyoto folding fans," and "Johana silk fabrics." The skills of the traditional industries representing each region have been embodied in the form of a folding fan. Johana silk fabric has a unique tension and natural feel that gives it the cool, refreshing texture of silk. This is combined with the beautiful dyeing techniques of Kaga Yuzen artist Kunichika Tsurumi, and is carefully finished by a long-established Kyoto fan manufacturer. The frame of the fan (ribs) are also made from domestic bamboo and are finished by hand by craftsmen, making this a truly exquisite product. Also, because they are carefully dyed by hand, it is impossible to create two identical pieces.
