When we wear crystals, we resonate with their energy, making __regular crystal purification very important__. It is recommended to establish a habit of purifying your crystals regularly, for example, on the 1st of each month or during the full moon (the 15th of the lunar calendar). There are many methods for purifying crystals, with detailed explanations available in books and online. Perhaps the most commonly mentioned method is soaking in saltwater. However, some crystals and metals are delicate and can be damaged by salt or water, so Joyce personally does not recommend this method. If you have white/amethyst chips, a geode, or a cluster, you can place your crystals directly inside or on top of them when not wearing them. Of course, the chips, geodes, or clusters used for purification should also be purified regularly. For instance, they can be placed in sunlight for solar purification or under moonlight for lunar purification. Joyce finds __smudging purification__ to be the most effective! You can light palo santo, dried cedar leaves, dried sage leaves, or incense sticks, and **use the smoke for purification**.
