As Hong Kong lyricist Lin Xi once said, "The existence of ghost stories is what makes Hong Kong precious." Local ghost legends often reflect the social conditions, prevailing atmosphere, and unique historical context of their time, making them truly worth documenting and preserving. Through a compilation of a hundred years of Hong Kong's folk ghost tales, we hope to explore the city's rich history, culture, and identity with you. "Phantoms" uses "Shokugan" (food toy) stickers as a medium to interpret Hong Kong's ghost stories. This type of sticker first appeared in Japanese snack packaging in 1977, typically measuring 4.8 x 4.8cm, and was commonly known as "chocolate cookie stickers," "Shokugan stickers," or "cookie stickers." Influenced by Japanese pop culture in the 80s and 90s, these "Shokugan stickers" are a collective childhood memory for many Hongkongers. We have systematically compiled 100 ghost stories, combining them with Shokugan stickers to create a new media format—a visually rich compendium of Hong Kong's supernatural. This project will release 100 Shokugan stickers themed around Hong Kong ghost stories, with each story inspiring a unique phantom character and a brief description. The stickers feature special printing effects such as laser sparkles, hot stamping foil, and silver foil to enhance the collectibility of "Tales of Hong Kong Phantoms." The "Tales of Hong Kong Phantoms" sticker series compiles stories of a hundred local phantoms, brought to life through original illustrations and text that vividly recount these mysterious events. Series 1 includes "The Golden Dragon of Cecil Place," "The Ghostly Cable Car of Ocean Park," "The Stone Beasts of Battery Path Garden," and "The Fox Spirit of Causeway Bay."
