When thinking about a new design, I wondered what only I could do and what my strengths were.
This is because the site is accessed very often from Sumida Ward, which is the main production area of Edo Kiriko.
I predict that Edo Kiriko craftsmen from other workshops will look closely at my designs.
The production process is posted on my site like this.
While making users more enjoyable by letting them know the intent of the design, if you write too much novel ideas or technical things, you will be imitated by other craftsmen.
So, back to the first sentence, I focused on what only I could do.
Among the equipment I have, I ordered a large-sized cut equipment a long time ago, asking "I may not need it, but ask for a larger size."
But I never needed a bigger size.
Large is also small, but I only made small cuts with large equipment.
To put it the other way around, the equipment is out of the ordinary from the perspective of other craftsmen, and it feels like a custom-made product.
In other words, no other craftsman can make a design that makes the best use of the equipment.
That's why I came up with the idea of turning a round tumbler into a square tumbler.
Speaking of Kiriko, it originally takes all the color of the bottom, and now I haven't done it almost anywhere, so I thought that it would be originality because I could do it with custom-made equipment.
The color of the bottom requires the large equipment mentioned earlier, so this is also a design that other craftsmen cannot do.
By removing the color of the bottom, the clear at the bottom is better removed, resulting in a very beautiful finish.
I will continue to make designs that take the color of the bottom in the form of the originality of our workshop.
The image of the product design was made with the image of a celebration.
Celebrate a happy event with your favorite person in a small and gentle manner.
That's the image.
The design has been further tweaked to make it more beautiful and original.
By increasing the number of intersecting lines, we have strengthened the structural design part that is the main axis, not the design of the small hand.
I really like this "celebration" mold, and I also make it for all other glass molds.
The part surrounded by the black line is frosted glass by erasing.
By adding one point of erasing, you can feel the elegance of the glass.
The very fine cut inside the central emblem is a traditional pattern of chrysanthemums.
The chrysanthemum connection is the most difficult cut in traditional patterns.
It is an auspicious pattern with meanings such as longevity, disease-free breathing, and nobility.
This chrysanthemum connection is also a bit different, and it has been crafted by a general Edo Kiriko craftsman.
Although it cannot be announced due to technical reasons, it is shining brighter than the general Edo Kiriko chrysanthemum connection due to its work.
I would like you to experience the good texture of Kiriko with its sharp edges.
In addition, the mouth is also rubbed into a shape that feels most comfortable.
We are confident that you can feel the goodness of what the craftsmen make by hand not only from the appearance but also from the texture and mouthfeel.
