Large red and white ranchu

This is a highly realistic Sarasa Ranchu. It was originally created as one of the featured pieces for a museum exhibition in 2020. This work was a personal challenge to see how far I could push the boundaries of realism in goldfish using wool felt. I processed cloth to give them a natural gloss, mimicking the texture of real fish scales. The fine, bumpy details of the head growth have been meticulously reproduced for a lifelike appearance. Due to the extreme amount of time required for its creation, I have no plans to produce this piece ever again. It is truly a one-of-a-kind creation. Size: 17cm (W) x 10cm (H)
