The design was inspired by ancient Rome so that it would blend in with European cityscapes. The case, belt, dial, buckle, etc. are original designs, and everything except the movement and hands is handmade. The case is cast using the lost wax technique to create its shape, and the surface is smoked to create an antique look. The belt is made of cowhide leather and is made by hand through the processes of cutting, drilling, dyeing, hand stitching, and fastening the metal fittings. The dyeing process is done twice, once dyed, dried, and then dyed again. This gives it a deep color. We also incorporated an accessory element by using thread of the opposite color to the belt to emphasize the stitching.
