It not only allowed me to rediscover the joy of living mindfully but also to witness the ancient capital's deep respect for and innovation in traditional culture and crafts. Among these, what captured my heart at first sight were the coin purses meticulously crafted by a kimono artisan. Teacher Nakamura, a gentle and elegant figure, has retired from his professional kimono-making career but continues to design and create coin purses using the kimono fabrics he has loved his entire life. ◾️【Premium Kimono Tsumugi Series】 The unwavering dedication of the artisan is evident in every detail and material selection. This piece features Kyoto's exquisite "Kanoko Shibori" hand-dyeing technique. Named for its resemblance to a fawn's spots, the complex and refined hand-dyeing process results in completely unique patterns and colors. Consequently, these pieces are exceptionally rare and should be cherished as a "once-in-a-lifetime" treasure. However, after bringing it home and using it, I truly understood its value. With every opening and closing, I can't help but marvel, growing more fond of it the longer I have it.
